Friday Vent
Why would you take a huge bite of food in your mouth and then make a phone call? Someone just called me and they were clearly eating and smacking their lips and trying to talk and it was so annoying. Anyone else want to vent?

Re: Friday Vent
DH did that to me once and only once because I told him to call me back when he was finished. So disgusting.
DH has terrible table manners - I blame his mother for that, and there are times I cannot sit with him while he eats. The noises just turn my stomach.

I hate being around people eating in general. Hate seeing it, hearing it, smelling it. Just hate when people eat. I have issues. LOL

Re: Friday Vent
Misophonia is a disorder in which certain sounds trigger emotional or physiological responses that some might perceive as unreasonable given the circumstance. Those who have misophonia might describe it as when a sound “drives you crazy.” Their reactions can range from anger and annoyance to panic and the need to flee.
I want to smack the crap out of people who chomp on popcorn on the LIRR. Guy last night was eating hot dogs, very smelly and very noisy. I was already annoyed because he was having really loud conversation with his seatmate. I had to get up and move before I hurled.

I've heard about that disorder. My boss looked it up one day because the sound of soda being poured in a glass makes me want to kill people. So strange.

You aren't alone. There are times I want to punch DH because of the way he chews.

I am so grossed out when people talk on the phone. My biggest chewing related pet peeve is gum though - I am so disgusted by gum. Snapping gum is like fingers on a chalkboard to me - but even just regular gum chewing irritates me.

Chewing gum irritates me to no end, especially when they blow bubbles. I said something to a teenager who was doing that (it was really loud and hurting my ears— they were really sensitive because of an issue I was having). She then proceeded to purposely pop the bubbles loud even closer to my ear.
