I was 39 weeks 5 days and only 1 centimeter dialated at 3.p.m and 50% effaced. I went into labor late in the afternoon got to the hospital and checked at 11:00 had her at 11::33 pm that night. There is always hope.

Me, 39wks with 5 days to go. Saw doc wk prior and said, Im fully closed..no dialtion, see u next wk and the following wk.
12:30am 2cm dialated
by 6:30am, 10CM no time for epidural...Gianna born 10min or so later.

ok heres mine...

It was Jesse's 1st bday--I was 9 months prego with Olivia...i was out shopping and of course I felt a random braxton like u usually do but thats it.
I went home to make him homemade pizza and get ready for a family party and went from 0-90 in seconds...
all of a sudden the contractions were there and 3 minutes apart--by the time I got to Winthrop I was 10 centimeters dilated....

it can happen

I was 1cm and a 100% effaced at 38 weeks..at the beginning of my 39th week I lost my mucus plug and was 3cms. My labor was 7 hours

I walked into the hospital at 5 cm (not even knowing it). I was there for prolonged monitoring to check on the babies. I progressed to 8 cm in less than 5 hours - with only back pain, never feeling one contraction. I hope that gives you hope!

Well....since I wasn't feeling well, just crampy and achy at 33 weeks...I called the doctor at 6:00pm. By 7:30 pm I was at the hospital and my water already broke on the way there...at 8:43 pm DD was born.

I think I was 1cm dilated at my 39 week appt- but my Dr. said my cervix was "lousy" meaning no thinning- he wasn't thinking anything was going to happen soon. But then on my original (earlier) due date I started having contractions- was in "early" labor all the next day and then finally the following day was admitted and Matty was born (via c-section but that's a whole other story!)

I was 2cm dilated from the end of my 8th month. During week 41 and during contractions---still 2 cm.

Pitocin was given to me at 9:00 am--2:45 pm I was 10 cm dilated

up to 39 weeks I was only 1 cm for the longest time.

the day before my due date I was having severe cramping and lots of bloody discharge. I went to the dr and I was 3 cms. And I was just there 2 days prior. I go to the hospital around 1, had an epi around 2 and by 7:06 my daughter was born.

I was stuck at 1cm and 60% for 3 weeks and then all of a sudden, there it was and only lasted about 5 hours.

With my first - I had a doctors appointment at 2:00 in the afternoon on a Tuesday - no progress, no dialation, no nada!

Later that evening I had some cramping it continued all night - kept me up most of the night - called doctor at 5:00am - told me to go to hospital - I was in labor but not progressing - they made me walk the halls - broke my water - blah blah blah - had baby at 4:40 pm.

So I went from nothing at the doctors office to having the baby the very next day.

ps - I was 40 weeks.

I was 39 weeks, barely any progression, maybe fingertip dilated since 36 weeks and not effaced at all.
Bam!, my water broke and he was born 13 hours later.

My stepmother, with both of her children, had no progress until one minute it started and in less than 5 hours she had each of her children. She almost had my brother on the LIE but my dad drove on the shoulders to bypass traffic when he could
She literally just 'gives birth" with a few pushes.

I had nothing going on monday morning, she was out by tue at 3pm.

Some of these stories are giving me hope that it can happen at any time.

Tonight it's full moon for me - and lots of Chinese food to give the baby an extra little nudge.

The day before I had Ava I wasn't even a fingertip dilated....this was 3 days after my due date!!!!

Not even 24 hours later she was in my arms
