Frozen embryo question....

We have 3 frozen embies...I was 33 at ER....

If I were to use my embies for an FET, when I am over age 35, does that put my risks ( Downs etc..)at the same level as a 33 year old being as they are 33 year olds embies ??

And miscarriage rate , would that still be elevated due to my age, or does that also depend on embryo age ??Chat Icon

Thanks !!!!Chat Icon

Re: Frozen embryo question....

The genetic risks would be the same as when you were 33 since it's the genetic makeup of the embryo. I'm not sure about m/c rate though, I would think that is more related to your body, uterus lining and hormone production.

Are you trying again soon?? Chat Icon

I honestly have no idea Chat Icon !!!

I know time is of the essence with this stuff, and its just hard to imagine jumping back into it so soon, being as my DD is only 4 months old...I'm hoping I get struck by lightening and it helps me make a solid decision Chat Icon ..We always said we would like to be blessed with 2 or 3 , so I'm torn , especially given that we do have the frosties , although I know theres no guarantees ...But we need to think about it seriously very soon !

Re: Frozen embryo question....

Everything is based on the embryo age.....technically you would be PG with 33 year old embies and not 35...

Good luck!!!

Good luck!

DH and I were actually just talking about this very thing the other day. I agree with Gerty that everything is based on embryo age.
