What monitor are you getting? Added question in first post
This is one of the LAST things we need to finalize on our registry.
Can you tell me which monitor you have/are registered for and why you chose what you did?

we didn't get a video monitor.
we went with the sony babycall.
it has excellent reviews and for a house with a lot of 'possible interference issues' - it's a great choice...with MANY channel options (wireless internet router, cordless phones, satellite tv can all cause potential 'static')...

I wasn't planning on getting one at all but ended up registering for the FP Dual Sounds & Light because it was reasonably priced.
Who knows - it may work like crap.

Summer Handheld video monitor. I cannot say enough good things about this color handheld video monitor! As far as I am concerned - it's a must have. We take it when we are sitting out on the deck and baby is sleeping and we can see and hear every movement. Crisp, color picture, hear every sound - PERFECT!  Image Attachment(s):

ITA! I originally had the Sony BabyCall and it was fine until one day everything sounded fine (DS was making his usual noises), but then when I went to check on him he rolled half way across the room and got himself stuck. I sleep much better now that I can visually check in on him using the Summer Handheld without going to his room.

i am not sure if I am reading the website right, but if I am, the one on BBB is all sold separately. So you are paying $199 just for the handhelp monitor but no camera. I could be wrong, but that is how I take the description.
The one is BRU is the complete package, camera & monitor.

I don't think that the one at BBB is sold seperately. I registered for that one and I should be getting both pieces according to the box.
I think the difference is the screen size. My BIL and SIL registered at BRU. Theirs has a 1.8" screen. We registered at BBB and ours has a 2.5" screen.

You get the complete package at both - what is great about this monitor is that down the road if you have another baby, you can just buy the camera separately (without having to buy another full set) to put in the nursery and still keep one in the older child's room so you can see both children  That's why BBB has the price for just the camera in case you need a second one for another room

The BBB one has a larger screen (2 1/2 inches) versus the BRU one that has a 1.8 inch screen. Honestly I have one of each - I have the smaller screen from BRU for DD and the larger screen from BBB for the baby and actually the slightly larger screen is nice to have - but not 100% necessary - but it does make it easier to see them. I didn't think we would notice but we have temp been using the larger screen with DD until the baby comes and DH has commented that it is easier to see.
I LOVE this monitor - and highly recommend it - no matter which one of the two you get. We have never had any problems with ours and I have even had a scare that made me so thankful that I have a video monitor and highly recommend it to other moms!

Do not get the one from BRU. That has a much smaller screen than the one from BBB. The blue one is the way to go. I swear by this thing!

It looks like the only difference is $19.99.
I didn't get a video b/c I plan on having the baby in my room for the first 6 or so months b/c I'm a nervous nellie.
I registered for the Angelcare monitor which my mother thinks is ridiculous, but it gives me piece of mind.
