frozen foods
i usually make enough food for DS to last two days and keep it in the fridge. This time I made some extra and froze it.
but now i'm wondering how do i unfreeze it?
can i just put the tupperware in the microwave and nuke it? do i have to thaw it out first? (the tupperware is microwave safe and it's the exact amount- 4 oz)
TIA!

Re: frozen foods
The best way to thaw it is to put it in the fridge the night before or leave it out at room temp a few hours before. Microwaving is ok, but not great because it robs the food of nutrients and can create hot spots which could burn their tongues. I have definitely done it a number of times in a pinch, when I didn't plan ahead well enough or something. I would just put it in for 20 seconds or so, stir it up, then another 15 or 20. Then stir it and check the temp before feeding it to them. HTH!
