FSH...
So I just had day 3 blood this am and my results are back already. Everything else normal except FSH. It was 17.7. I am waiting on a call from my dr to see what the next step is but nurse didn't sound too hopeful on the phone.
Anyone have high FSH and it work out???? I am "old" and this is my last shot....my insurance covers 3 IVF cycles and I was going to use them up as my last chance for #2

My IVF Cycle with Hailey my FSH was 26. It has never been that high before. But i started BCP already so we couldnt re-test and we went on with the cycle i just had my med doses increased... i still only produced 4 that cycle. But one of them took.

Thanks! I am not expecting to produce a million eggs since I am 42 but I would take 4!!!!!
I am going to call and start acupuncture to try and do anything to help.

I don't have experience with high FSH, but I just wanted to say that if your insurance covers 3 IVF, I'd definitely try it, no matter what. You'll never know if you don't try. Best of luck!

What was your AMH?
I'd start taking CoQ10 and Royal Jelly in honey (though you don't want to take the royal jelly during a cycle, only before you start stimming). Ideally, you want to take CoQ10 for 3 months before starting, but it can't hurt to add it in.

I take the CoQ10 and DHEA for the AMH (which wasn't great but not horrible).
I have royal jelly from a while ago...but not in honey....never heard if it like that but I will look into it.

I would ask about testosterone priming and HGH in your stim protocol. I also agree with PP that you should still go for it if it's covered. GL!

I had/have high FSH. Tests have ranged from 22-26 and I have low AMH (very low).
I was about to start IVF (which they normally will not do for someone with my levels) and ended up being pregnant on my own.
Last summer I was tested, AMH got alot worse (like crazy low), we resorted ourselves to the fact that we would be a one kid family. We stopped being careful, expecting nothing, or maybe we would get lucky someday in the far off future. I got pregnant that month.
Hope that gives you some hope....I am still shocked now (and I am having this baby 7/31).

I have been trying on my own for 3 years and my DS was one of those I'm goign to start IVF and bam I'm PG. I do not think lightning will strike 2x.
I started seeing a Traditional Chinese Medicine Dr today and am going to work with her for a few months to get my levels in control a bit and then test again with my RE.
I have read so much about TCM and I have a friend that practices in Taiwan and he got me very excited about the success it has provided with others.
I have until May and then that is my personal cutoff so I am giving it my all until then
