FTM looking for Pediatrician Plainview, OldBethpage, Woodbury, Syosset area
Hi ladies- I am due with my 1st in March and looking for a Pediatrician in my area.
I would like a practice thats not too big and knows my child on a first name basis.
Your suggestions would be so helpful!

I go to Central LI Ped in Old Bethpage. LOVE THEM. I see Dr Wolfson but have seen others for sick visits.
Dr Wolfson is amazing with my DS. He is always excited to see the kids. A friend recommended them and I never even interviewed them. I figured I would switch if I was unhappy. I loved them from the first appt.
I am always in and out but never feel rushed or if I have any concerns I am never blown off. If anything Dr Wolfson is a bit on the cautious side but I'd rather that.

I see Dr. Wolfson as well and LOVE him, and the practice. He has always taken his time with us, answered any questions I had, no matter how silly, and really listens. It's a practice of about 5 doctors, but not so big that you're just a number to them. I've always been in and out and never wait long at all.

I LOVE, LOVE Kidfixers in Syosset. I always say they saved DH & I from losing our minds those first few months. DS had acid reflux, milk allergy & we were there 3X a week sometimes. They would call our house to check on us & DS to see how we were doing.
Every doctor is wonderful & they are so patient, the staff is great!
We usually see Dr. Mesibov or Altman. Dr. Altman actually wrote The Kidfixer Baby book

Pediatric Associates of Plainview...located at 400 So Oyster Bay Rd. They are knowledgable, caring and do not rush appointments.

I use them too and love them. I initially only saw Dr. Altman then started to really like Dr. Jacobs and saw them both. By chance I saw Dr. Rabinos who is younger and newer and she is actually excellent and my babies seem to prefer her. I never know who I prefer seeing when I make the appointment anymore!!! They are all great. MEsibov is excellent too, but he's older and a bit goofy lol!!
FYI- almost all my friends use pediatric associates in plainview as many of the prior posters also like. However, I felt it was too busy there. IT's a large office with TONS and TONS of patients. I visited and it is beautiful and MUCH nicer than the kidfixers building, but I felt like my child was more of a number there.

Hmm I thought it was relatively large. I visited 3 years ago maybe I was there on an off day or don't remember accurately. IT was mobbed when I was there but that was in 2010! I just went to visit

I use woodbury peds. They are right at the top of the SOB off the LIE. I think sunnyside blvd is the exit. They are two females and a male. Small practice. I have NEVER sat in the waiting room ever. The only time I waited 20 mins in the exam room was because of an emergency.
They have Sat hours and Sun day sick visits in the morning.
I love the 2 females. The Male isn't my favorite. He is fine but, i hate his bedside manner. But, I usually just request one of the females. If I get him I just suck it up.
I know that doesn;t sound like a glowing endorsement but, they really are great. I never have to wait all day for an appointment. Whenever liam is sick (with more than a cold) they call multiple times to check on him. When he got hurt at Bounce U and couldn't stand up on his leg they stayed open after hours and waited for me to drive him right over. The determined that his leg wasn't broken (they were right) and sent me home. They saved me a long night in the ER and called the next day to check on him. I LOVE them and have sent others there and they are so happy. They aren't alarmists about anything.
