Full of questions today! This time for 8/9 month old moms or BTDT moms
July 4th weekend DH and I plan on taking DS to Chicago. This will be our first trip together. We're visiting friends but will stay at a hotel and rent a car. He will be 8.5 months at the time. So I have 2 questions:
1. Do I need to bring a pack n play with me for him to sleep or do hotels usually have a bassinet or crib? Something that would hold a 20lb baby (hes 16.3lb now)
2. DS now sleeps from 6:30pm-6:30am. If your DC went to bed that early around 5 months and slept that well (or close to it) did you find that pattern held? Or as they get older they start to sleep later? I'm just trying to figure out if we would have to get him back to the hotel every night at 6pm to start getting him ready for bed. that would suck! but if thats the case how do i get around that? just let him sleep in the stroller until we get back to the hotel?
Thanks!

** I would call the hotel and see. Most hotels do and you can just bring sheets and a blanket or whatever. Oh... and Clorox wipes b/c I'm insane and wipe everything down or we bring our own pac-n-play b/c DH is insane. LOL

***Mason has been sleeping 7:30 PM to about 7PM since he was 5 months as well and he's 9.5 months old now. The pattern didn't change. We went to Aruba a few weeks ago and figured we're on vacation so he may be a little off. I'd dress him in his PJ's b4 we went out to dinner and he'd fall asleep in the stroller on the walk over. If we left early I'd feed him when we got to the restaurant and sometimes he'd fall asleep there or feed him right b4 we left for dinner then fall asleep on the walk over and he'd stay asleep the whole time. For some reason he won't fall asleep on his own if it's not his crib so it worked out he was usually asleep b4 we got back to the hotel and we'd just lay him in there and he'd be fine for the night.
Bring a light weight umbrella stroller. The Maclaren Quest was perfect and goes back far for him to sleep. We also brought the bjorn, which was great at the airport.
Enjoy!
