6:00 pick up dd from daycare
6:20 arrive home - she is either still napping from car ride, or if she's up play time in exersaucer in kitchen while I make dinner, do dishes etc.
6:30 bottle then play time
7:00 DH gets home and walks the dog (I eat and watch megan play)
7:30 I feed DD solids while DH eats
7:45 bathtime or just change into pjs and play
8:00 storytime with Daddy (I will clean kitchen/vaccuum/ do laundry)
8:15 - Bedtime - DH does nightly garbage/recycling, I am usually still cleaning
9:00 Relax - FINALLY - watch TV - fight over laptop
10:00 bedtime!

6 - pick up DS
6:30 - feed him and clean up mess
7 - play with him, read, etc.
8 - give him a bath, get him ready for bed, get everything ready for daycare
8:30 - give him a bottle and put him to bed
9 - help DH cook dinner, eat and clean up
10 - watch a little tv, hang out with DH
11-1 - do some work (job related) and try to avoid going on LIF, which lately has not worked out!
1- go to sleep

I am really exhausted by the end of the day, but what can you do? I just take it day by day and drink lots of coffee!

5:30 pick up J at daycare


On Monday and Thursday I rush home 30 blocks to get her home in time for Speech therapy/0T while I cook dinner or do some work. Occassionally, I just take a rest.

On Tues: we go to a OT gym 15 blocks from her daycare and grab dinner before. Usually get home too late for anything else so straight to bed.

On Wed and Friday: Was taking her to the playground after school, but its getting too dark.

Usually walk home or take the train. Home by 6/6:15.

Playtime until about 6:45.

Dinner 6:45-7:15

After dinner is bath.

Bedtime starts at 7:30 when we sit in bed. We read with 3 stories and about 5 minutes of cuddle time.

Then I'm done- around 8.

DH usually comes home after DD is asleep.

My husband picks up DS from either my mom's or SIL's house around 4:30-5pm and takes him home.

I get home around 6:15pm. We play, spend time together, eat dinner and at 7:15pm we start getting for bed.

DS is usually asleep at 8pm.

I work P/T, but on the days that I work it goes something like this . . .

leave work between 5:00 & 5:15. Drive 1/2 hour to my mother's house to pick her up. Chat with my mother 15-30 minutes. Leave mom's and drive home - 1 hour

Get home usually around 7PM.
Feed DD immediately.
Cook dinner 7:30-8:00
Eat dinner 8PM
Play w/ DD (includes bath time)
Bed time 10PM

DH works midnight - 8 am and has rotating days off so when I come home from DS is with DH already at home:

6 pm - arrive home
6:30 - start dinner
between 7 pm - 7:30 pm - eat dinner

After dinner DH now gives DS a bath since I am preggo when I am cleaning up the kitchen. Then I shower & get myself ready for the next day while DS is playing. Then I sit down with him and try to get him to go to sleep. As you all know, Michael does not fall asleep early. When DS finally falls asleep is when I go to bed.

both dh and i work full-time, and our hours are variable. but a typical night would be:

4:30pm or so: one of us goes to pick up DS at daycare; the other goes home to walk the dogs (we've got 3)

5:15 or so: once we're both home, i start heating up dinner

5:30-6:15 we (attempt) to eat dinner as a family; most of the time it works out, but sometimes ds is cranky if he hasn't slept well

6:15 or so: DH takes DS upstairs and gives him a bath. I clean up from dinner.
i warm up his evening bottle.

6:30: i bring the bottle up and we all hang out for about 20-30 minutes as a family in DS' room

7pm: either DH or I give DS his bottle (we fight over who gets to do this!)

7:30: once he's asleep, one of us will do the evening walk for the dogs, the other will get things ready for the next day (lunches, dogs' kongs, etc)

8-10: DH and I relax together

10pm bed

7:30...Bathime/Playtime
8:00...bottle and get PJ's on
8:30...DD falls asleep.

I get home at 5:30 normally. Dh is already home with the boys from 1 pm.

I make dinner and we eat - normally done by 6:30.

We play, watch some tv, do some puzzles and if there is time take a bath. I have to get them into the bath by 7:15 becuase they hate to get in and out.

By 8:00 since they just stopped recently napping, they are in bed.

Normally we would do bath's at 8:00 and then put them to bed but we don't do that every day, maybe 3x a week.

I try to get their clothes out for the next day as we are getting them to bed but I don't always do this.

After we head downstairs I try to clean up kitchen and get lunch for next day ready. DH will do the diaper bag for daycare, but now we don't really need ti so he gets to slack off in that department.

From 8:15 - 10:00 we veg in front of the TV and I will try and remember to do laundry.

Basically DH is exhausted by the time I get home so he is basically relaxing. When they sept he would sleep and then was more of a help when I got home.

5:15pm Get home unpack everyone's crap
6:00pm Cook dinner, feed dog, feed kids (eat kids leftovers as my dinner)
7:00pm pick out clothes for next day, baths, jammies
7:45pm hang out read books watch a movie put Clover to bed
8:00pm DH gets home
8:45pm Roman to bed
9:00pm pass out on the couch

Wake up within a few hours with Clover then for the day at 5am to start all over with getting them ready for daycare and me to work.

DH gets home at 4 and I get home at 4:30.

4:30/5PM DD eats dinner
6:00-7PM DD has a nap (sometimes)
7PM-9PM We play, give bath and one last bottle before putting her to bed
