Fun city for a preschooler within 6 hours driving distance?

DH was just told he has to take next week off. His dept. has been working around the clock for months and HR just set up a week off for each of them and his is next week.

We would have liked more time to plan to take DD to Disney but now I think we'll save money, use points to stay at a hotel for free and go somewhere we can drive to (instead of flying last minute) so we can save $$ for our next (real) vacation.

We aren't skiers so heading north isn't really an option.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Right now Philadelphia is the only thing I can come up with.

my friend took her son to boston and there's a great children's museum there. My siister also went with my niece to a hotel near dutch wonderland that has a great indoor pool and kids activities. There's always the indoor waterpark coco keys in jersey or great wolf lodge

What about DC? The smithsonian has so many fun museums - natural history, american history, air and space, etc.

What about Boston?

Baltimore - they have a nice aquarium and it is a nice city.

I'd suggest Boston or DC over Philadelphia. There is a lot more to see & do and in my opinion, it is a lot nicer.

I would drive south and visit Philadelphia, Baltimore and DC. Fun!
