Fundal height a little low : Edited with a question at the bottom
So today at the ob , at 26 weeks 4 days, I was told that I'm measuring a bit small based on fundal height. The doctor was alarmed, she said it is normal for first time moms who are slender and petite. Anyone deal with this ?

Re: Fundal height a little low
I wasn't told that by a doctor but 2 people at two different occasions this weekend (once sat/once sun) told me I'm carrying very low. I'm expecting a baby girl on 7/13 and I'm only 4'11 3/4''. (Yes, when you're under 5'0 feet the 3/4 inch matters!! LOL)
So maybe it's just a petite thing!!

Fundal height a little low
I was told that with dd2 when I was 34 weeks. fundal height was measuring 2 weeks behind. The doctor told me not to worry but to come in the following week for a growth sono (1 week earlier than the norm). I ended up delivering the night before the sono so I don't know what they would have said but they were right that she was small. She was a month early and was exactly 4 pounds but should have been more like 5 or 6. We dealt with some complications but her small size really wasn't an issue at all. She breastfed like a champ and has caught up well over the past 5 months.

Re: Fundal height a little low
When do they start measuring fundal heights? I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow and I don't think this has been done yet.

Fundal height a little low
With #1, they measured it at any appointment where I didn't have a sono. So far with #2, I've had sonos at every appointment so no fundal height.

Re: Fundal height a little low
My dr. measured mine at my last appt which was 29w3d. Apparently I was measuring 2 weeks ahead, but I'm not really concerned. I don't put much stock into measurements because with my last they told me he was going to be bigger than he actually was.

Fundal height a little low : Edited with a question at the bottom
I'm wondering if I haven't gained enough weight. I'm up about 12 to 13 pounds at 27 weeks. Anyone else not gained a lot of weight?

I have gained only 4lbs so far and baby was measuring a week ahead and already a lb and a half at my 20 week. I am now 26 weeks.

With #1 I lost about 35-40lbs up to the date of my induction.
So far I've lost 11lbs with #2.
You gain or lose as much or as little as your body needs.

As far as I know it doesn't really have anything to do with what you gain or how healthy you do or don't eat. Also, I think your weight gain sounds pretty normal.

Weight gain has nothing to do with it. I'm 35 weeks and only up 10 pounds. Baby is measuring fine.
