Furniture Opinions Please
We are team but are starting to think about furniture. What are you thoughts on white furniture for a boy?

Re: Furniture Opinions Please
White furniture will definitely work for a boy. I was going to use it but I went with natural wood instead bc the furniture was given to us.

Re: Furniture Opinions Please
We're having a but had decided on white furniture before we knew the sex - our second child will be sharing with regardless so we didn't want furniture that was girly. I don't think there's anything inherently feminine about white furniture - I think it totally depends on the styling of the furniture and the room. I will say it was not easy to find dressers without feminine detailing but it can be done. We found a very basic looking white double dresser at BBB and the straight-up crib from Land of Nod in white. Land of Nod also had nice dressers with clean lines but shipping for those was more than I could stomach. Shipping on the crib was free when we ordered it.

Re: Furniture Opinions Please
My only issue with white painted furniture is to make sure the paint is toxic free. As their teeth grow in, they will chew on the rails, and I always feel like the white paint chips in bigger pieces.
Also damage on white will show more than damage on stained finishes.
But as a design choice I love white furniture for babies, either sex.

they make plastic guards for the rails which will help with teething and regardless of the color of the furniture, it will help to protect it

Re: Furniture Opinions Please
I was and did white furnture (the distressed looking white from PBK). We just felt the white was more babyish. Now that we're having #2, this furniture will go to the new baby and DS will get a darker wood set.
