Furniture shopping is a nightmare!
I have been searching for nice, yet inexpensive couches for our living room for several weeks and I am getting so frustrated! Where have you all bought your living room furniture from and felt you got a good deal?

Rooms Unlimited on Route 112 in Pacthogue. Ask for Frank. He's awesome. We just bought our microfiber Natuzzi sectional from him. he was knowledgable and LEFT us alone. I sware, some of them stalk you! They had a great selection. Don't forget to check out the warehouse clearance section also, thats where we lucked out.

Re: Furniture shopping is a nightmare!
I got both my living room sofa (Bernhardt by Martha Stewart) and a brown leather sleeper sofa in the den at Macys. I always shop around but seem to find what I want there.

Really? I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They were EXTREMELY rude to us. The played so many games it was ridiculous. That is probably why on BBB they have SO many complaints in the last 3 years. I'm glad you had a good experience as you are the first person I have ever heard who actually did.

One of my new favorite stores is Peter Andrews in farmingdale off route 110 they have such beautiful things, expensive and inexpensive, I have gotten so many accessories there and just got a bed, credenza and kitchen table with leather chairs. You should try them.

We got our leather LR furniture from jcpenney.com. Really inexpensive and nice pieces. Came in less than one week! We love it!

Re: Furniture shopping is a nightmare!
Macy's Furniture Clearance Center in Westbury. We used Gift Cards and paid $300 for a sofa & loveseat. We got our coffee table at Levitz Clearance Center (in the back of the Levitz in Lake Grove) for $100 and the end tables match and are hand-me-downs from my MIL. So for $400 we got an entire living room set (oh and our sellers left the wall unit for us). In time I would love to get a whole new living room set, but we can't afford one right now (plus we'd like to do kitchen, bath, carpet, hardwood floors, etc before new furniture).

Rt. 110 in Farmingdale, make a day of it. There are tons of furniture stores to browse through.
