Fussy infant and daycare - how to handle?
DS is finally learning that he needs to take naps but it takes a lot of attention and care and cuddling.
With only 5 weeks to go before I need to go back to work, I am honestly very concerned to put him in daycare. I am worried how they will handle him.
Any ideas/thoughts?
ETA: DS is 7.5 weeks old and will be 12 weeks when I go back to work.

Re: Fussy infant and daycare - how to handle?
Sophie - you will see significant changes by the time he is 12 weeks old. I remember being concerned about the same thing when Cailen was 5 wks old - he was really fussy at that age - and he changed significantly by 9 wks old...
also, even if he is fussy, his daycare providers should not be fazed by it if they are good - they will know that babies are fussy, and get to know him and see what he's like. I am sure no matter how bad you think your son is (not that you would ever think that of course ) they have seen much much worse....
I also wanted to share that I was so concerned Cailen would want to be held all the time because I always held him at home, and he really was very comfortable sitting and watching, just like the ladies on here said!!!

I don't think of him as "bad". He is just very needy and needs constant attention.

I knooooow - I was just teasing!!! but they all get fussy and needing attention at this age.... he will definitely start to chill a little when he realizes that the world is a safe place for him!
