Ganirelix question
I started Ganirelix on Monday to stop my body from ovulating until after the holiday. I'm doing at home ovulation kits and BBT. I haven't gotten a positive for ovulation, but my BBT has been rising. Is it normal for BBT to rise just because of the Ganirelix? I was at the RE on Monday (when we decided to start this) and my dominant follicle was a 14, so it's highly unlikely that I would have ovulated between then and now. BBT has been steadily rising over the past couple of days (perhaps in sync with the meds). Also, not to be gross, but I think I am getting that EW cervical mucus. (I've never been good at noticing or charting that, but something is there!) Are the BBT and CM just typical side effects from the med? I go back to the RE on Saturday. If I ovulate before then, we scrap this cycle :(
Thanks!!

Re: Ganirelix question
these arent side effects i experienced from ganirelix. your temp may be rising but that doesnt mean its the post-O rise. have you been temping for a long time? the meds can def screw it up, its almost better to not temp while on meds (this coming from someone who temp'd EVERY cycle up until IVF ). in the end your RE will monitor your ovulation, so you dont have to. ganirelix will in almost all cases stop ovulation from happening on its own, so you really dont have to worry about it.

Re: Ganirelix question
Curious- Sorry for freaking you out! This is only happening to me because we need the lab and the lab is closed for the holiday. Dr. Browne is seeing me at 11am on a holiday weekend for sono, but we can't use the SIRM lab because they will be closed from Thursday to Sunday, which is exactly the time span I'd need them. The lab only exists in the Manhattan office; the Westchester office doesn't have one. Alternately, I could just skip this cycle or I could have just tried to IUI today, but I have a lot to lose b/c we are using DS. The problem is that this will happen again next month. I am bummed about the whole thing, but I didn't want to miss another 2 cycles. I hope all is going well for you!
