Garmin on treadmill?
I have the 405. Will it calculate Miles and calories on treadmill or do I need the footpod?

I'm not sure it would even work inside because it needs the satellite in order to work.

You need a footpod. The treadmill will give you mileage...then maybe you could compare to outdoor runs to estimate calories burned?

would like to be able to upload the info onto garmin connect. I run indoors/outdoors 50/50 depending on where I am babysitting issue etc. I want to keep track of all miles indoor or outdoor and view it on the website. does the footpod info get trAnsferred somehow to the watch?

I have a Polar watch with foot pod and gps. GPS will not work on a treadmill because you are not going anywhere. The foot pod will work - all of your information gets stored on the watch - same exact way it would if you used the GPS.
