Gas prices!
so I'm sure you've all noticed that gas prices are INSANE these days 
are you doing anything different as a result?
me? I'm doing all my errands on the way home from work so I don't have to drive around more than I have to.

I paid $3.03 for regular today and pair $2.87 at the same station either Monday or last Friday. 
When I first started my new job and hitting this gas station less than two months ago I was paying $2.43 ...

Yesterday they went up 10 cents while DH was pumping the gas. They had gone up 6 cents 2 days before. At this rate it will be 4.50 by the end of the summer.

It's about 2.93 here. I have to put high octane in the truck and it was at 3.15 this morning. Yesterday it was 3.05
Not doing anything different. Unfortunatly we have to drive everywhere and cant even car pool with each other or co-workers.

the thing that is most infuriating is that the price of oil effects EVERYTHING. when oil prices go up, so does everything else. everything needs to be transported.
I went grocery shopping after work and alreay started to notice the price of certain items go up

Not really doing anything differently. I have a short commute to work and a car that is good on gas. I generally do all my errands on one day of the weekend or on the way home from work, and did that before prices went up.

I love the articles about Exxon and how they post record profits every quarter. their CEO just retired with a $150 Million retirement package

Thats what bugs me too, now that its up there, its never going to go down again to a normal price..really stinks and the fact that my job is totally dependant on my car, I basically work from the car, makes it even worse. Luckily, I save every gas receipt and can deduct it at the end of the year.
What is our "president" waiting for to give some relief like last time...oh wait..nah won't go political and start a war!!

gas prices are absolutely insane and so unnecessary!!
I read somewhere that NYS is making a boat-load of $$ on the gas tax. there is a movement to cap the tax once gas reaches $2 a gallon but lord knows how long that will take to get passed!! it's so aggravating!!

DH and I are going to carpool a few days a week in the fall, when our schedules are more compatible.
In the meantime, I will just have to **** it up. My commute is one hour each way. I am glad that I at least chose a car that's good on gas.

not that i have bad gas mileage (i have a corolla) but i swear i'm thisclose to going out and buying a hybrid 
i'm supposed to go visit friends in richmond next weekend, but i think i may have to not go since it's going to cost so much to just get there
