Gender intuition

I have an extremely strong feeling about the sex of this baby. It isn't based on wish fulfillment as it is the opposite gender of what I would want ( of course a healthy child is the first priority ,but we all have our preferences ) if you have a strong gender intuition were you right ?

I was right, everyone told me that I was having a girl but I knew I was having a boy.

Re: Gender intuition

Yes...both times.

I just knew what I was having - a deep down feeling. Neither were because I was wanting a specific sex.

With my first I thought boy and was shock when the doctor said its a girl. We didn't find out on purpose. With my youngest I knew girl and of course had my DD. This one I don't know.

With this baby, DH & I totally thought it was a girl. So much, in fact, that it was sort of anticlimactic when we found out we were right! We were so sure but i don't really know why! We are thrilled thoughChat Icon

Re: Gender intuition

I was SOOOO wrong.
I thought boy all along.
I carried like I was having a boy.
I fit all the old wives tales of having a boy.
I FELT boy in my bones.
I had a boy name picked out- I didn't even think about girls' names because I knew I wouldn't need it.

When the amnio came back as girl DH and i were in utter shock.

Re: Gender intuition

NOPE! Convinced it was a boy. Only had my boy room planned out. Every single sign I felt pointed to boy. All my friends have boys! I was 100% convinced it was a boy. But its a GIRL!

By the way I wanted a girl so bad, so same thing, I thought it was the opposite of what I would want. I think we may talk ourselves into that just to cope better if it works out that way. I started crying in the genetic counselors office when I found out girl! I was ecstatic.

Yes! I knew I was having a girl the second I found out. You couldn't tell me different. It was not so much a preference thing, I just knew. My mom was the same way with both my brother and I. In fact she knitted me a pink blanket and embroidered a pillow with my brothers name in it while she was pregnant and had no idea until we were born that she was right.

I was leaning more towards boy. I had dreams where at first the baby was a boy and then a girl. I had a girl.

Re: Gender intuition

Yup! I just felt like my twins were girls. Based on nothing but intuition. Everyone tried to analyze my symptoms and cravings and all kept saying boys. But I just knew. And I was right.

Re: Gender intuition

Yes I was right from the moment I found out we were pregnant I said it was a boy. I never thought for a second DS was a girl, I just knew deep down I was gonna have a baby boy.
