Getaway for the night, any ideas?
We really can't afford to get away for a full weekend right now, DH just went back to work and we are trying to save a little before I go on maternity leave...I wanted to get away for a night, if possible, we already know that we are doing a date night but I wanted to do something where we can stay over. Most places I feel require a minimum stay, any ideas for a night away?

did you want to stay on teh island?
If so, try the three village inn in Stony Brook, they have adorable cottages, a nice restaurant and park across the street with nature trails and a pond, the museum across the street, as well as little outlets with a few really cute cafes.

My husband and I went up to newport rhode island for 2 nights...it was nice and romantic and a quick drive...not sure if it's good for 1 night b/c its like 3 1/2 hours away...but we stayed at the Adele turner inn and it was really cute! FM if you want any details

If you are flexible with the night, why not NYC... you can get great deals on hotels with priceline.com
