Getting annoyed with my Dr's and their different opinions!
I have seen 4 different doctors so far in my practice
Dr # 1: Tells me I def. can not go to Italy (I was supposed to leave yesterday) bc I can not fly internationally in my third trimester. I was going to cancel anyhow since I have bad anxiety when flying
Dr # 2: (two weeks later) Refuses to write me a note to send to my Travel Insurance company bc she thinks it would be "perfectly fine" if I went to Italy.. even though I am in the third trimester.
Dr # 3: Tells me I am not allowed to take Zantac for my SEVERE acid reflux, but to take as many Tums as I need and Mylanta.
Dr #4: (two weeks later) Tells me that taking too many Tums is not good at all and that I should be taking Zantac daily.
I finally told the last Dr. that I was getting frustrated with all the different opinions. I seriously feel like I rely more on you ladies and the internet for advice then them
Just needed to vent. Anyone else experience this?
ETA: All but one of these Dr's (Dr # 2) are really nice and I like them so I feel bad whining.. just annoyed.

She finally did write me a note. I told her that I need to take xanax to get on a place and (very sarcastically) asked if that was also "ok" in the third trimester. When I left I read the note and it said "Jennifer can not fly because she needs to take medicine to get on the plane that is not allowed in pregnancy". Great. Wonderful. Pretty sure thats not a good enough reason though for my travel insurance. Not sure why she couldn't just write that I was in my 3rd trimester and Its not allowed. I booked these tickets before getting preggo.

i dont see the big deal - its not like your not pregnant, not in your 3rd trimester and just didnt want to take a trip lol, i mean where is the lie

Ugh that's so annoying. Can you get a note from the first doctor? I'd be so annoyed if she gave me that note.

wow I too would be extremely frustrated! I take my doctors advice very seriously and it would drive me nuts if I got different opinions! Normally i feel doctors form a practice because they share the same ideas and beliefs? I'd definitely give them a piece of my mind!

I cant believe that doctor number 2 wrote the note that way- I would go back and insist that doctor number 1- who is the REASON that you cancelled write the note.

I had to have the Dr fax the note to the insurance place for me.. and then I just got a copy of it. I wonder if I have another one sent in if they will be like "what the eff?!" haha. Might be worth a shot.

Yes! And we go to the same group. So far I've only seen 2 Drs. and honestly I only like 1 so far lol I hope I get to meet the other two.
I get a lot of my info from this site. Thank God for you ladies!

I forget the name of the Dr. I do not like.. I think it started with an E.. but I do know that if she is there to deliver my baby I might walk out

Sorry you are dealing with that. I would be beyond frustrated too.
The 3 dr's I've seen so far all have had different comments to make on my tan lines. I live in FL, we go to the beach, pool and go on the boat fishing year round. It's kinda hard to stay out of the sun for good.
I guess I should just stay in the house for 9 mos, under the covers and never see the light of day again.
I'll just take the advice of the one female dr I saw, who said it's fine, just stay hydrated.
They all seem to have a different idea of what 'proper weight gain is' too.
