Getting on a schedule with a 2 month old

Is this possible? It seems difficult to even think about a schedule so young, but my pediatrician today mentioned how she would need to be on a schedule and she should go to bed earlier than 11pm.. woops.. Chat Icon She is still eating every 3-4 hours and wakes up at3-4am for a feeding.. how can i get her to skip it and just go to sleep!? Any advice or tricks?

I don't see how skipping the feeding at that young would get her on a schedule?

You should try to put her to bed earlier, but when she wakes, you feed her. Chat Icon

ETA: I meant that you can't skip feedings this early on, if she is waking then she needs to eat, if she sleeps through, that is fantastic! My DS ate during the night until he was ONEChat Icon

My DS is on a schedule and he is 10 weeks. He eats every 3 hours and goes to bed at 8. HE doesn't wake until 5 -6am. Then it's every 3 hours all day.

Landon goes to sleep at midnight and sleeps til 7 or 8 am.
If we put him to bed earlier than that he is up every 3 hours.

Same here at just 4 weeks...he goes up to bed around 8...but he still wakes every 4 hours to eat.

I would definitely feed her if she wakes. If DS wakes I feed him, but he seems to be pretty consistent with 5 - 6am. I do give him an extra oz at bedtime. Sometimes he eats it and sometimes he doesn't. He definitely sleeps longer the nights he takes the extra oz. Just something to try.

DD is 10 weeks and goes to bed by 9. She is actually still sleeping right now! She didn't get up at all last night but some nights she gets up at 4 or 5, has a bottle and goes back to sleep for a few more hours.

I find she sleeps more when I put her to bed earlier...I was waiting till 11 or midnight because I thought she would sleep more, but it was worse!

She eats every three hours during the day though.
