oh, you sound just like me. I know my Chippy boy is going to freak when I don't pay as much attention to him. When I play with my niece he gets right in between us or sits on my lap so he is the focus of my attention.
I agree you should try to pull back now so Lola doesn't blame the baby for the lack of attention.

Hey. I know I'm a little late but I wanted to suggest 2 books to you....Child Proofing your Dog and There's a Baby in the House. Both were recomended to me by my greyhound adoption group and both came in very handy. In one of the books, the author was a little harsh but I did get good tips from both of them.
My furkids were my first babies and I treated them that way (ok, I still do at times) but, with a little work, they did fine when we brought DS home.
I do have to say, I never put the dogs in the bassinet though but that's only because they are 65 pounds each!!! However, the cats did check everything out.
You'll be fine. Lola will be fine.
