gift for daycare teacher(s)?
Do you give your dc daycare teacher a gift for the holidays? What if there are several teachers there?
DD (16 months) has one main teacher but several others as well that assists.
I was thinking of picking up a little something for her main teacher but then started to think about everyone else there and I would love to get everyone something but that can never happen...what does everyone else do?
Do you even give daycare teachers presents, if so what?

DD's classmates parents and I did a group gift for the 2 main teachers. $100 gift cards to each...split between 8 people it was $25 each, not bad.

I got his main teacher and assistant teacher Vera Bradley cosmetic bags over the holiday weekend, so there was a good sale on them. Then I order an Edible Arrangement for everyone to share that works with him, including his teachers and any floaters in the room. And of course I write a really nice note saying how we feel about them. I am a teacher myself and, honestly, the notes mean the most!

I was planning on getting a nice gift or GC for the main teacher and baking cookies for everyone (his current and previous teacher(s) and assistants included.)
QUESTION: (not to hijack the thread)
How much do people normally spend? I was thinking $50 for the teacher but wasn't sure if it was too little or too much?

After discussing this with a friend. . I am giving 50 dollar gift cards to his main teacher, 25 to his asstant teacher and 15 to the 4 floaters that are in the morning/afternoon. I am also sending bagels or I like the idea of the edible arrangement. Plus writing notes to each of them.

i picked up belgium chocolates for the director.
a larger box of chocolates for the room. then victoria secrets body spray & lotion for the 5 teachers, and need to get something small for the new part time teacher.

I am making those jars that you put the ingredients for cookies in with a cute note and some fabric on the top. I may do like a 5$ gc to DD. But, honestly money is soooo tight this year.. I may not.
