gift for daycare teachers? This is bothering me
I have been so busy with work, etc....I forgot to think ahead and get gifts for LO's daycare staff. There are 8 of them.
I thought about Starbucks gift cards or a candle, but decided that not everyone likes coffee or candles.....so I just wrote nice cards and slipped some cash in each one.
I told my stepmother and she thought it was tacky.
This is really bothering me. Was it that tacky? We are moving in 2 weeks anyway so I'll probably never seen them again.....but was this really that tacky?

my mom probably would have said the same thing, but i wouldn't worry i'm sure it was greatly appreciated

As a teacher, I have received so many generic gifts that I either re-gifted or threw out. I'm always dieting and hated when people gave me chocolates, etc. I would have LOVED cash. Also loved giftcards.
Not that I didn't appreciate any gift given to me - often the cards made me cry, but there were only so many candles a person needs. I think you did well!

It is not tacky at all. I am sure they do not get paid a lot. Also, I gave my son's 3 teachers cash and one of them hugged me (he has only been in the room a month).

Not tacky at all! I would love getting cash. When I was a camp counselor, cash tips were my favorite!
