Gift Ideas for second child- for BTDT moms
Is it better to get a cute something, like a gifty item, or something more practical?
Just trying to get ideas for a few friends... who I know do have everything.

I usually get clothes.
My BFF just had her second boy, and I know she has clothes from her first DS who is 15 months old, but the seasons are a bit off, and her older DS was HUGE.

I agree with Kate. I usually buy clothes and when my second DD was born I also got a ton of clothes which I appreciated--especially since my girls were totally different seasons.
Two of my friends had their THIRD boy each a couple of years ago. At that point I skipped the clothing and bought each a "boy" photo album and a baby book and a couple of other things...

i like clothes, i thought i would have plenty oh hand me downs from dd#1, but it's nice to have new stuff without the guilt of buying

I tend to give clothes and a toy but if I had to give one...it would be clothes.

I agree with this too - and would add burp cloths and bibs. A lot of the ones from my first DD were stained, so I had to get new ones.
You could also do a frame and a gift card to have their picture taken together.

I still need to get my old boss a gift for her second kid. I was thinking about getting them matching bathing suits or personalized stationary.

I had my second girl and they are 17m apart, so that made them two different seasons for sizes.. so cloths was great to get. Im not able to use my first dd cloths except for Pjs. It was winter when my 1st dd was the age of 2nd dd..
