Girls around 12weeks left.. and going back to work after..
Can you believe it?
From now to the birth is about as long as I'll have with my baby 
Spoke with HR yesterday.
Looks like i'm taking off Aug 25th as sick (if I can get my doctor to agree) and then coming back Dec 17th and LOSING 8-11days of pay! 
Ugh

8-11 days of pay isn't bad. I'm going to be loosing 8 weeks of pay.

same here... if i work up until the bitter end  i will be getting paid for 4 weeks by using up my vacation, sick and personal time (which is mandatory) and then the rest of my FMLA, 8 weeks, is totally unpaid.
if i take time off before the baby comes then i get paid even less. DH and i are socking $$ into savings like there is no tomorrow.

I don't get paid at all, and only get 6 weeks. You don't have such a bad deal.

If I stay out for 6 months I will be losing like 4 months of pay. But I dont know with this economy if I will be able to be out that long plus I really want to jumpstart my career.

it really is a shame!!
we should get atleast 6 months off paid!! 3 months is GARBAGE!!! first of all, i think the first three months you are trying to get the baby on a schedule and hopefully he or she is sleeping through the night...
I am pretty sure there are many place in Europe that give you up until a year off with the baby!
Dont get me wrong, I LOVE my country but some things stink!
