Girls having a c-section
So I posted this list for my hospital bag at the beginging of the month when I thought I was having a natural birth, now I know I'm having a c-section and want to make sure I have all I'll need for my stay in the hospital. Am I missing anything??
And just wanted to see what hospital everyone will be at and when? For me I'll be having my baby next friday, July 31st at Good Sam
Here's my list:
CLOTHES: 3 PJ's (button down night gown, tank top and elastic capri sweats, nursing night gown)-PACKED 5 pairs of cotton panties -PACKED robe- not bring one pair slippers -PACKED socks-PACKED flip flops for shower-PACKED Towel for shower-PACKED nursing bras (2)one sleep bra and one normal- PACKED going home outfit for myself-PACKED going home outfit for the baby-PACKED baby blanket- PACKED baby hat -PACKED baby socks -PACKED headbands and hair tie- PACKED
BATHROOM STUFF:makeup -PACKED lotions -PACKED deoderant-PACKED small shampoo/conditioner -PACKED toothpaste- PACKED toothbrush - not packed. Will pack the day ofqtips -PACKED hairbrush- not packed. Will pack the day of razor-PACKED body soap- PACKED Large pads- PACKED
OTHER:insurance card- PACKED sucking candy-PACKED camera-PACKED camera charger-PACKED cellphone- will pack the day of cellphone charger-will pack the day of chapstick- PACKED 2 pillows colored pillow cases for DH and I-will pack the day of Baby book - PACKED lanolin- PACKED extra bag for baby stuff from the hospital-PACKED pieces of paper for extra foot prints- PACKED change for vending machine- PACKED video camera-PACKED video camera charger-PACKED the boppy- PACKED

I was going to mention clothing for DH but it has been mentioned. Sounds like eveything is covered. I actually used your list to pack my bag so I have the same things you do.

LOL! I did too, DH was looking at what I had packed and says "what am i gonna wear??" I forgot all about him. Oops!

I don't know if you need that many PJ's - truth is, it will be hard to maneuver and it will probably just be more comfortable, and easier for them to check your incision, if you wear the robe they give you. I didn't change into clothes until the 3rd day in the hospital.
The other thing - you may not be able to get up so easily to go get food from the vending machine - it's a good idea to pack snacks for yourself that are readily available.
Also, if you DO pack clothes for yourself, and you do plan on nursing, it's worth it to pack a nursing tank/shirt.
And, of course, some clothes and toiletries for DH
