Girls having twins?
Did you get a BFP earlier then usual? Where your symptoms stronger in the beginning?

Re: Girls having twins?
I can speak for my wife (who is catching a nap right now, due to the twins running us ragged)
We received our BP about a week and three days after ovulation (standard is 2 weeks). It was a strong line, rather than a faint one. And it was determined on an evening urination. They usually tell you to test in the morning when the hormone concentration is the strongest.
So all those factors led us to believe it was twins before the doctor confirmed it

Re: Girls having twins?
I honestly cant really say....
With my first set of twins the tests werent as accurate as they are now b/c this was 15 years ago..
With my second set I only had a very very very faint line but that was b/c I was probably barely preggo at the time..we didnt find out that they were twins until my 12 week sonogram.

Re: Girls having twins?
I was pregnant with twins when I first got pregnant. I got a really light line the evening of 9dpo and then a darker line on 10 dpo. My HCG levels were through the roof so I had a good feeling there were two in there. So I guess I got the actual BFP at a "normal" time (albeit on the early end of the spectrum), but we also did IVF so I had a 50/50 shot of twins since we put two back. HTH

I suppose anything is possible...I had 6 sonograms between 5 weeks and 9 weeks and they only saw 1 baby. I went to the doctor at 12 weeks and they decided to check the baby b/c I was crampy. All during the ultrasound you only saw one baby. As the doctor was finishing up the nurse who was standing on the other side of me goes.."what a minute, what's that?" and points to the screen. Doctor looks closely and kind of sees something but cant be sure...(this sonogram was vaginal as were all the previous sonos)..it wasnt until he then did a transabdominal sonogram that you saw the twins. Basically one was hiding behind the other.

Re: Girls having twins?
I had normal symptoms...and got a BFP when I was about 5 weeks....I wasn't trying and didn't know I was pregnant at all except for being really tired and having terrible cramps.
just wanted to add that both sacs were seen clear as day at 5 weeks

Re: Girls having twins?
I got a BFP at 10 days past an IVF transfer. It was actually pretty light. 2 days later I had my hcg tested and it was pretty high-that is probably more of a determining factor than hpt's or symptoms. You can search for my ivf diary and it tells you exact numbers and timelines.
Besides for 2-3 weeks of nausea, excessive peeing and fatigue I haven't had any bad symptoms-I think it is all how your body handles the hormones.

Re: Girls having twins?
Thanks everyone!! I got a BFP at 10 DPO. I thought it was 14 DPO but I'm pretty sure I was wrong. I got a dark line. I have twins in my family and my mom always just had a feeling I would have twins. Well, I guess I won't find out until I see the doctor.
