I had a great experience there, both the tech and the doc were really nice!! We did wait for a least 1/2 hour but besides that everything was smooth.

Re: girls that had ultrascreens at north shore...
It went smoothly. I had maybe a 5 minute wait, if that, but I think that's because I had the first appointment of the day.
Both the tech and the doctor were really nice and they even printed out a couple of extra pictures after I asked for them.
The only thing that was uncomfortable was that the baby was in a position where the tech couldn't get the measurements she needed so there was a lot of prodding and pressure, more than I expected. But that's not really the tech's fault, you know? Baby was just being stubborn, I think.

Re: girls that had ultrascreens at north shore...
I have been to many ultrasounds and one ultrascreen at North Shore in Manhasset during my two pregnancies. My experiences have been nothing but positive. The people are very nice, especially the female doctor who comes in after the sono tech.
The only two thing I dislike (but is not really that significant) is that it's a far walk from parking (even valet) to the area where they do the sonos.
Also, plan on waiting. I usually end up waiting between 30 to 45 mins and my advice would be to use the potty before arriving since they don't want you to go once you get there.

9:30 is not their first appointment. I believe 8:00 is. I wouldn't be surprised if you wait about 15-20 minutes. My experiences there have always been great.

My experiences have been great there. I will admit you do end up waiting awhile. We had a 10:30 appt and they didnt wind up taking us until 11:10. The waiting room is always packed.
The doctors and the technicans are very nice.

Re: girls that had ultrascreens at north shore...
last pregnancy I had my US at Northshore Manhasset and it was a great experience...
Unfortunately this time I had my Ultrascreen and 20 wk ultrasound at LIJ since the practice at Manhasset is private, they do not have to take the insurances that the hospital takes... I was a little bummed but LIJ was great... I had the first appt there at 8 am and we were taken right away no complaints there either...
