Give me ideas...
So, I'm going through all of my clothes from pre-pregnancy this weekend to figure out what fits and what's too big now (I lost a lot of weight). I really want to go shopping and buy some new pieces, but I'm really not sure what I want! I have a ton of tunic-type tops, but that's really about it. I want things that are going to be comfortable and business casual (I run a small medical practice and the dress is very casual for a business). I do know that I want some comfy tights, but not really sure which ones are good... I NEED HELP!!! (I'm a size 16ish, some things smaller, and top is big, sometimes need size 20 to cover these boobs - 38 GGG or something like that.)

Re: Give me ideas...
My go-to business casual "uniform" is dress pants + print shell/top + knit cardigan. I'm boring

Re: Give me ideas...
My style is "polished boho" I also try to buy things that get double duty. I work in the hospitality industry, so it's kind of trendy business casual. We definitely don't do suits.
For work, I wear lots of wrap dresses and tights and pumps when we have events, or black straight leg dress pants with a variety of tunic/flowy tops and statement necklaces, or a fitted top and slouchy cocoon cardigan. Or I'll wear those tops with a fitted black pencil skirt. Shoes and statement jewelry help change the look of outfits.
For casual wear, I wear lots of boho/flowy/tunic tops, layers and cardigans with skinny ankle jeans and flats or booties. I wear lots of scarves and long necklaces.
I don't really have any fave brands - but when I find a style I like I try to buy it in multiple colors or prints. Hue tights are the absolute best - they hold up so well! I buy them at Macy's when they are 2/$22.
What is "your" style? I find once you know how you want to dress and styles that you like, it's easier to seek out the right pieces

I think this is what I'm having trouble with... I feel very eclectic! Some days I really want that polished, J. Crew/Ralph Lauren look, and some days I want a more trendy hipster vibe, and then it changes again. I feel like I need to shake things up a bit, and I *think* I want to move more towards the polished J. Crew/Ralph Lauren look more so than the hipster vibe (I'm a former punk, who used to have rainbow colored hair, lol, so this is still fairly new to me). I like things to be easy, to be able to just throw them on in the morning, no iron needed (I just don't have the time), and comfortable. Button downs are difficult for me because of the size difference from my waist to my bust, if they fit my waist, it doesn't fit my bust and vice versa. Ahh so frustrating!

I feel your pain - I am busty as well. I never ever wear button down shirts - not worth the mental abuse
I'm all about finding things that compliment your body type and then let your style go from there. Black skinny pants with a nice loose tunic or sweater and a pair of flats is simple and easy for work, and you can change it a million different ways with trendy jewelry or scarves.

See, now that sounds perfect! I have a lot of pieces that were hand-me-downs from my very good friend, and while they are nice, I feel like I just need to do a big purge and buy a small handful of really nice pieces for myself. I haven't spent any money on myself in YEARS, and I'm sorry, but it's time. (Of course I make this decision after having a baby.)

Re: Give me ideas...
Button downs always pull at my boobs, so I just don't button them all the way. I tend to wear a tank underneath and then only button half way up. If you like that polished look, I really like the straight leg pants in Banana Republic. Buy yourself a pair in black and khaki to start. You can easily pair them with plain or patterned tools, sweaters, cardigans, tee shirts, etc...

Try Lands End for a classic polished look.

I like classic.
Cardigans, blazers, camis, cords, jeans, capris, button downs.
