Godparent question...
When are you supposed to ask Godparents to be godparents?? Before or after baby is born??

We are going to ask probably when the baby is born.
With DS I asked my sister a little ahead of time and we asked my BIL while I was in the process of being induced..LOL.
He came to visit and we asked him then and there.

With my son we asked the godparents when we told them we were pregnant...they pretty much knew they would be it anyway.
With this one - I already asked the godmother, but we don't know who DH will pick on his side yet so we are waiting until the baby is born.

My sister will without a doubt be Godmother and she already knows. Ryan has to pick one of his brothers to be god father.

Usually afterwards. My DH and I had this discussion. He said that it must be afterwards but I asked DS#1's GodMother before but I was 8 months preggers.

We asked the Godparents when we announced the pregnancy. They were a shoe-in, so there wasn't really any discussion between DH and I.
The next set of Godparents will be harder.

We asked our godparents before the baby is born. But this is mostly because both of them live out of state and we wanted to make sure that we could plan the baptism around them.
We already have a baptism date booked for this reason and the fact that my parents live out of state too. We needed to know the dates so everyone could make travel arrangements.

Well the godfather knew who he was already, but we asked the godmother about a month before Kaila was born on Christmas Eve.
