Going away-Do I need a room with a kitchenette?
Andrew will be 15 months when we go to Maine. I booked a larger room with a kitchenette because I wasn't sure if I would need a microwave and fridge at that age.
My SIL told me it is a waste of money and I should get a smaller room. It is only $80 more for the entire trip. Should I keep that room or downgrade?
TIA

For $80 I would definitely keep the larger room.

I agree.
We are going to Montauk when Michael will be 14 months old and we are getting a room with a kitchenette too.

Thanks
I think my SIL is just jealous because it was the only room like that in the entire hotel and I got it

we are going to Florida and we are having kitchenettes in all our rooms...its good to have a microwave and a fridge for the baby. And for washing bottles and stuff.

It really helps to have a sink, fridge, and microwave. I would not want to have a room without all that.

Re: Going away-Do I need a room with a kitchenette?
We've been on several hotel trips with DC, and the kitchenette is a huge help. A one-bedroom suite is nice, too. With a separate bedroom, you can put the baby down for a nap in the bedroom, and still be able to do stuff in the main room. The extra bedroom is just a "nice-to-have", and doesn't always justify the extra $$ spent, but the kitchenette for an extra $80 total is definitely worth it.
