Going to Disneyworld (Florida) - Need some suggestions
I decided to take the wife to Disneyworld for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend.
I am looking for some things to do... suggestions.
I want to do "adult things". I know its Disneyworld... but me and my wife are the type of people that would like to "stay occupied" rather than "sight see". Theme parks would be cool. My sister went to Busch Gardens in Tampa and I think she said that was cool.
Looking for suggestions. Any good nightlife for the 21 and over crowd in Orlando?

No suggestions of places (we do kid stuff when we go!) but a warning that it is going to be ABSOLUTELY PACKED at the parks.

Hmm...I don't know about the nightlife in Orlando, but if you make it up to Tampa for Busch Gardens, definitely check out Ybor City.

Ybor is great!!!
Also City Walk at Universal isn't bad.
Or go in the other direction to Daytona!! I love partying in Daytona.
Tons of clubs in orlando too.
ETA:
I love Busch Gardens. Also a good time is always dinner at Midevil Times with the jousting and everything. We also went to a place called Wallaby Ranch in Orlando, you can go hang gliding.

Ybor City is a definite for nightlife. but the commute back to Orlando after a night of drinking/dancing probably isn't a good idea.
Which hotel are you guys staying at? Hard Rock might have some night action.

DH and I were there last year....and before we left he said that he didn't want to do "kid" things. But, once we were there and spent the day at the parks we were shot at night!! We did like some of the places in Downtown Disney. Check out the House of Blues because they have a pretty good line-up and the bartenders are friendly. I can't remeber what else we did at ngiht....i'll ask DH and get back to you!!

If you want to stay in Disneyworld, then you could try Pleasure Island, that could be cool. They have Hardrock Cafe, a dance club, comedy club, and a House of Blues! When we went last Nov., we noticed it was actually during Thanksgiving week that House of Blues had some great shows playing (Kenny Wayne Shepard was there)! Some Downtown Disney Info. This is just a random site I found with some info about the "more adult" things to do at Disney! Enjoy! We had fun there just the 2 of us!
ETA: If you are staying on Disney Property, the admission to Pleasure Island is included!

There's about a billion theme parks between Disney, Universal & Sea World. Tampa/Busch Gardens is about 90 minutes away. Kennedy Space Center is about an hour away I *think*.
On Disney's Boardwalk there's Jelly Rolls which is a sing along piano bar sort of like Pat O'Briens (there's one of those at City Walk) - it's a really good time imo. There's also a dance club and ESPN Zone.
Pleasure Island has a load of bars and clubs with different types of music (80's, Rock, Jazz, etc.) They also have a comedy club and the adventureres club (I haven't been but a lot of people love it...it's an interactive stage show).
At Downtown Disney's Westside is Disney Quest which has a lot of virtual/video style attractios -- flying carpets, white water rapids, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. They have a Cirque de Soleil show called La Nouba that's very good but I don't know if you could get tickets at the late stage.

I second the above! Jelly Rolls is one of our favorite places, especially after a few drinks

Definitely do city walk. Thats so much fun. After 6 parking is free. There is a movie theater there, Margaritaville, Bob Marley, a piano bar, a 70's club, nascar cage, hardrock, NBA studios...its all real cool! I also know that church street station has Howl at the moon, and some other interesting places in there. We also enjoy jai lai when we r in orlando. Pleasure Island is also alot of fun. As far as theme parks...if u r adventurous Islands of adventures has all the roller coasters and city walks outside its doors. Have fun!!!!!!!

Re: Going to Disneyworld (Florida) - Need some suggestions
Are you talking non-touristy nightlife? If so, get a car and drive thirty minutes to downtown Orlando, church street station or Pointe Orlando.
ETA- I know that you dj so you might really enjoy dowtown Orlando, there are a ton of bars with DJ's and live local music. Here are just a few of the bars:
Social- The place where new bands come and play.
Bar-bq- Bar (right next to social) good local watering hole.
Slingapour's- DJ's and Live Music (Thursday night funk-off's are fun, DJs spin the best of old-school funk from the '70s, '80s and '90s)
Chillers- DJ (Huge UCF college bar w/ pretty good drink specials)
Latitudes (tooftop bar)and Big Belly Brewery are just upstairs from Chillers
Zinc Bar- (I find this one over priced, but good DJs [usually])
Club H2O- cyber-techno but no alcholo (rave like all the time)
Club Paris- Paris Hilton's club- Every night there is a "That's hot" contest. I dont know much about it though because I refuse to go
Back Booth- Live music just about every night
Bar Orlando- Dj's old school to rap/hiphop
Mako's-Mardi Gras theme w/ people always doing body shots on the bar. Typical top 40 Dj's
Sky 60- South beach style, roof type terrace bar. I always like to make sure to pop in here. Well, weather permitting that is. It's just a door on the street, so you have to look for it. I believe that the order of bars for this goes Bar-bq-bar, then the social and then the sky 60 door is just to the other side of the social)
One Eyed-Jacks- pretty much all college
Firestone- Not sure on this one, I cant remember ever going in
Antigua- I cant remember ever going here either
Howl at the moon- Dueling piano bar
Ybor martino bar at church street (different that Ybor City in tampa) Posh/swanky martini bar type
Room 39- Fun 80's night on Fridays
Tabu- three dance floors, upscale dress code required.
Hogs and Honeys- Coyote Ugly style, and a mechnical bull to boot.
Loaded og- Another local watering hole
Wall Street Cantina- Downtown late twenty somthign spot for happy hour.
Those are the places I can think of right now that are in downtown Orlando and Church Street Station (which are close to each other) I would say all of these bars are within a 8 block radius of one another. One thing you will have to get used to though is last call is 1:30 and they will boot your a$$ out the door at 2am
Because its Thanksgiving weekend and all of the colleges (full sail, rollins, ucf and a ton of other ones) are on break, these spots might be on the quiet side...I am not sure, I have never gone this time of year.
Hope this helps! FM if you want more details.
