Orchid in Garden City is delish..... The decor is a little cheezy, but the food is sooooooo good........
edited to add... the pu pu platter comes in a mini bbq grill that they bring to your table.....you heat up all your food on the open flame....soooo cool..

Kwong Ming in Wantagh on Jerusalem & Merrick Ave. is really good for sit down...
Take out, China Garden on 347 in Hauppauge/Smithtown is the best i've ever had!

ITA! if you want authentic (like chinatown good) chinese food then you HAVE to go to Fortune Wheel!!! they serve dim sum on weekends where they go around with the karts and trays. but its always packed on weekends so call ahead and get a reservation #.
oh man! now i want some!!!
I love fortune wheel too!! The food doesn't have that smell or taste that dim sum places in flushing have. Fh and I like to go once a week. We went at the wrong time yesterday and waited. We come from the nassau queens border so if they take reservation then that would be awesome!!

Orchid is very good.
Also try Hunan Taste in Greenvale. Very good as well.

The Orient in Bethpage...amazing food and every time we go there we see Asian people eating there. Excellent sign IMO.
