Good price for mini-van rental?
I want to rent a mini van at the end of June (we will be going to Myrtle Beach), so far I find the best prices are on Costco's website however I was just wondering what you think is a good deal for a weekly rental? Yesterday it was 464 today 438 and just wondering when to pull the trigger, so to speak. That price includes taxes.

Re: Good price for mini-van rental?
That seems like a great price to me. I rented one from Costco a few years ago. But I was looking at them last year. And they were more than that and didn't include the unlimited miles. I've rented them in the past and it always included the miles. For some reason I couldn't find that last year. I ended up renting a truck with a 3rd row seat. And I was going through AARP.

Re: Good price for mini-van rental?
I always rent through Costco. Pull the trigger now. You don't pay until you pick up the car, and there are no cancellation fees. I always book as soon as I know my travel dates and then check the site frequently. If the price drops - I book and cancel the previous reservation (even if it's for a couple of dollars). I do find the price usually drops about 4 weeks before trip. I will keep checking right up until the morning we leave. Last month I did this and got a 3 day rental in Orlando (intermediate SUV) for a total of $62.

Pull the trigger now but keep looking. Prices change daily and at different points during the day.
That’s actually a good price for any car in Myrtle Beach.
Also check Dollar for their city specials.

As others book it and then if price drops, cancel as no cancellation fee with costco. We had a rental a few months ago and dh checked every few days.

This is a good tip. I tried it, and rates fluctuate daily sometimes. Worth checking.

Thanks all, I thought you had to put your CC in at the time of reservation but good thing that you don't! I booked the mini van and I will keep checking rates.

Yeah Idk why the cars in Myrtle are so expensive. I know the airport tax is a lot but I was even checking cars off-site. For a regular standard car it was over $300 for the week which is why we went w/ a minivan since there's 6 of us... renting the minivan would be cheaper vs. renting two cars.
