good sam mommies. after c-section when do you and family get to see baby?
this will be my first time delivering at good sam. after my scheduled c-section, when does the family and ME get to see the baby?
do they wheel the baby by everyone in the hall?
do the people just look at the baby through the glass?
do they bring it in my room, then everyone comes in?

Re: good sam mommies. after c-section when do you and family get to see baby?
With DD#1 (4 years ago), I had to be to the hospital at 9am...I was supposed to have DD around 11, but my Dr had an emergency C-section, so I was bumped, and had her at 1:15.
I was in recovery for a while after, and I think it was a little before 5 when I was wheeled past the nursery...they brought DD out to me so I could see her, then got me settled into my room and then brought DD into me.
My parents were there at the time I got to my room, but the "official" visiting hours I don't think started until 6 or 6:30pm....which is when the rest of DH's family visited...DD was in the room with us during visiting hours.

Mine wasn't scheduled. They showed her to me in the room- but I was so out of it, I don't remember.
My family had seen her before they came to see me in recovery.
I was asked once I got into a room if I wanted them to bring her to me- but I declined because I was still so out of it (they had given me some other drug during the surgery because I was still feeling the cuts after the epidural). When I finally woke up after a few hours I asked them to bring her to me- it was around 10pm (I had her at 6)
