Goodnight my sweet cat...
I can't believe i'm posting this. Today, my first pet passed on. My sweet, sweet black cat crossed over.
11 years ago, a black cat kept coming into our yard and I begged and pleaded w/my parents to let him in the house.
Grudgingly, they let him in and became their best friends.
When my father had his eye surgery, Blacky aka Kitty stayed by his side day and night. He was our first and only pet.
When I moved out 4 years ago, it was sad, but I saw him all the time.
3 weeks ago, he started to slowly stop eating, etc. Today he had 2 seizures and passed on
This is SO much harder than I expected. I've been crying all day long.
What's weird is -today is the 12 year anniversary of my grandmothers death, and my mother always thought she "sent" the cat to my mother to help her cope with her death. Right before that, my aunt had a dream that my grandmother had given my mother a black cat.
I know he had a great life-but still, I am so sad.

Awww I'm so sorry!
I know how hard it is to lose a cat- my cat died last year and I still cry over it. It hurts so freakin' bad. I was a mess those first few days.
He was beautiful- my new little girl kitty is all black like that- I LOVE black cats.
But he is with your grandma now...

It's been about 4 years since I lost my black cat. She looked almost exactly like yours.
It still hurts to think about her sometimes--but like you, she had been a stray and we took her in and gave her a great life--she stayed with us for almost 19 years.
I'm so sorry for your loss, it really is kinda like losing your best friend

I'm soooo sorry! Losing a pet is so hard. But all the sadness is just the price we pay for all the joy that they give us when they are here with us.

I'm so sorry. When my kitties passed I was devastated. Your kitty was beautiful and knows you loved him.
Now you have a kitty angel watching over you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. They truly become members of our family, don't they? You and your family are amazing for taking him in and giving him a wonderful life. Rest in peace sweet angel.
