Graco Argos 80 elite or Britax pioneer

Anyone have these seats! Is one better than the other? My granddaughter is 4 1/2. She's about 42 lbs. around 41" tall.

I personally like britax better all around. We have both those seats and the britax is far superior. The straps are longer, especially the middle one between the legs. The britax is also easier to install. I will never buy a track again. We've had 2 gracos and dislike both. So my vote is spend the extra money.

I don't have the graco...
But I have 4 britax seats like the pioneer.
Love the britax. Kids get it & out of them solo.
They have been easy to use & are sizable seats... And feel very safe.

I was between the same ones, and after "feeling" both in the store, the britax seems sturdier and it is what we will go with. I also had terrible experiences with a graco convertible car seat that didn't leave the best taste in my mouth for their products. But I know a lot of moms on here really like the argos.

Re: Graco Argos 80 elite or Britax pioneer

I just ordered the Graco Argos 80 Elite. It was on sale. My son is 5 and 1/2. He is small for his age. 42 inches tall and 38 pounds.. I tried the Britax in my van but it sits very low and my son needs to be able to see out the window. I have a graco Nautilus and he uses it in my other car. He can buckle himself in that one, he couldn't do it on the Britax. That is a big plus for me... I will know in a couple of weeks how he really likes it.

The pioneer will last longer in harness mode as well as high back booster mode. It does not change to a no back booster.

The argos is wider and bulkier. It also sits a little higher.

One is not "safer" then the other. The better one is determined by what your personal preferences are in a seat as well as how long you want her to remain harnessed.

Are you on Facebook? There is an amazing group to join if so - Car Seats For The Littles. You will get every answer to every car seat question you have.
