Graduation Basket for College Dorm
My cousin is graduating high school in June, and I just found out she's going away (it was between that and St. Joe's, and she decided to go away). Anyway, I wanted to make a basket with some stuff she'll need for her dorm room. Not the big stuff, but maybe the little things you don't think of-flip flops for the shower, Yankee Candle Car Jars as an air freshener, etc. Any other ideas? I was only away for one semester, so it's a little fuzzy to me, and I feel this would be much more personal and fun. I am extremely close with my cousin and I want to make it special.

How about gift cards for restaurants near her new college? College kids are always broke and hungry!
Maybe some DVDs (if she has a DVD player to take with her)

I was just thinking about it some more...
A coffee maker and coffee... that's what I needed the most in college!
Quarters, a laundry bag and laundry detergent.
Cute stationary (sometimes it's nicer than email)

flip flops, a shower basket to hold soap/shampoo, etc.., toiletries like shampoo/body wash/razors, kitchen utensils if her dorm has a kitchen, school supply stuff like post-it's, pencils, computer paper, medicine (advil, tylenol, etc.), phone card?, gift cert. to the local supermarket and local places to eat out... quarters for laundry... if she is going to have a car with her, a gas card... laundry detergent...
a cute basket for all the stuff to go in would be a big hamper or laundry basket b/c that is very useful...

bath stuff
laundry detergent (maybe you can get her a laundry basket and put all this stuff in there)

cuisinart makes a cute coffee maker called the 2 to go- it comes with 2 travel mugs- so she can take on her way to class
and I love the food gift card thing- or a Target or Walmart card if she needs stuff

I got a laundry basket filled with stuff. There was a shower caddy, toothbrush holder, soap holder, flip flops for the shower, robe, slippers, snacks, laundry bags, detergent, etc.

These sound like great ideas. Maybe also a tshirt with the college name? And a first aid kit...
Just a note, I think many campuses do not use quarters for laundry anymore; they've gone to debit-card systems.

All of these are good ideas, when I went away though I know how excited I was to go shopping and buy the stuff that I wanted, maybe you can make a date to take her shopping with a gift card to get the things she needs at like bed bath beyond

I think its a really fun idea!
Bed Bath and Beyond has a whole "shop for college" section on their website.
Here's their checklist to get other ideas
Some ideas I had were:
