Great South Bay Half?
I had registered to run the Marine Corps Marathon but sold my bib when I thought I would physically be unable to run. I just started CrossFit and the idea of training for a full sounds awful to me right now, but I would like a fall race to look forward to - how is this race? Seems like a good one!

Love it, my favorite half marathon (next to the Brooklyn Half). It appears as if there is a new race director this year, they increased the price to $40 (used to be $20) and have added all these new amenities such as medals, tv monitors, etc. Should still be good. They still have the Entenmanns goodies at the end, but in past years, much of it was gone since the 5k and 10k finishers had first grabs. It's a super flat course and the scenery is really nice. Best part is that it's 5 minutes from my house :)
And I totally hear you, I have run 2 marathons and the thought of training for another makes me want to vomit, LOL...so I max out at a half marathon now!

I don't remember them enforcing anything. The course, especially the half, is not crowded enough for it to be an issue IMO

How did you sell your bib? I have an entry to a sold out full and I'm contemplating not doing it.
