Greek Christening question.....
My daughter is going to a Greek Orthodox Christening. She wants to get a plant and make paper flowers out of bills and put it on the plant with pipe cleaners. She just wants to make sure there is not a plant/flower that has negative meaning or that they might take offense to. I know that flowers symbolize different things and she wants to make sure before she buys it. Thanks!

Re: Greek Christening question.....
That's Super cute! Will this be a huge celebration or just 20-40 people? I only ask because Greeks tend to go BIG and treat christenings like a wedding So even though its an awesome idea, at the end of the night the hosts and their families will be carrying car loads full of stuff from the christening. For example- 4 HUGE candles with bows, baptismal keepsakes, extra favors, a card box., etc. so I would hate to have the money plant crushed or even have the bills fall off or get lost.
But to answer your question , there is no negativity behind flowers.

Re: Greek Christening question.....
Thank you so much for your response. It's going to be a big christening. My daughter will be wrapping the gift in cellophane or something so things won't be falling off. Good to know about the flowers. Thanks.
