Grieving Taxes!
For those that hesitate doing it....DO IT!
DH & I saved $1700 a year by having someone do it....we weren't sure how it would go in effect or if we needed to call our mortgage but our mortgage came this month and it's like $170 bucks less...that's a huge savings every month plus we are getting back money from taxes we paid last year!!
DO IT!!!
& if you have someone do it for you, you don't pay them anything if there is no change but the lady we used got paid 50 percent of what she saved us.

yup!! we bought ILs house from them when they moved. FIL would grieve the taxes every time reassessment came up. we are now paying almost the same taxes as we did on our old house- and this house is in a better town, and the house is twice as big.
you just have to know what to say...

We did it and used a company to do the grieving. Grievance Day was May 20th for the Town of Babylon, so hopefully we will be getting something in the mail soon telling us what is going on. I can't wait to save some more money.
