Gross stretch mark question, but I need help...

Okay, with 2 weeks to go, my stretch marks are really doing a number on me.

They HURT and a couple of them have started to bleed. Chat Icon

It's so bad that I can barely have my stomach touched without yelping and jumping in the air.

Is there ANYTHING anyone has done to find relief for this?

I use cocoa butter every morning (I have since day 1) and I've started to use it at night too, but it's not helping.

I appreciate any suggestions.

TIA

Why don't you try going to a dermatologist? He can probably give you something that won't harm the baby and that can relieve the pain.

I should have mentioned...

The next appointment I can get with a derm in my area and my insurance plan would put me past my due date, so that's a no go.

Thanks for the suggestion though! Chat Icon

I have no advice, just sending some hugs Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Sounds painful.

What does the Dr say about it? Any other advice?

Did you try Oils versus a cream? Pure Vitamin E oil maybe?

Maybe talk to your local pharmacist and hopefully they can recommend something.

I'm going to try some of that tonight.

It is crazy painful.

If I wear a tight shirt, it actually seems to help, but anything loose that brushes up against it is agony.

No one else has ever had this??? Chat Icon

Aquaphor maybe? I asked a girl in my office that had really bad stretchmarks. She never got to the point where they opened, but she did get really red & irritated around them & she used aquaphor & covered them with gauze patches.

Maybe call your OB & see if they have a suggestion?

I had no idea they could get that bad and bleed. I hope you feel better. I would definitely try a mild soap and Aquaphor Chat Icon

And, I wanted to suggest wearing the belly belt. Believe it or not, that helped a LITTE because it supports the belly. No creams, lotions or oils helped with the pain or bleeding.
