Stretch Mark Prevention
Anyone want to share their treatment?
I bought baby oil yesterday to use once a day before I really start growing to soften and make the skin more stretchy. Besides, I love the smell of baby oil.

Re: Stretch Mark Prevention
you cannot prevent them, they are heriditary...coco butter can help make your skin soft but if you are going to get them, you are going to get them

I agree, for couple of months I went through a rapid growth of my boobs and even though I used cocoa butter I still got some stretch marks

That's what I heard too...
That being said, even though my mom never got stretch marks after having two kids, I still use Palmer's Stretch Mark Cream every day, just to be on the safe side

Re: Stretch Mark Prevention
All the lotion in the world won't prevent them...you'll either get them or not. Sorry!
It will help with itching and dry skin though!
With my first I only got them on my boobs. So far with this one, I am getting new ones and the old ones are bigger, but none on my belly. Personally, I'm shocked, my mom's poor belly is covered, her boobs, not a one.
Everyone is different, but I can attest that the lotion had nothing to do with it because these boobs get well "oiled" and they still got the marks while my tummy didn't get a single stretch mark.

Re: Stretch Mark Prevention
I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter every day and although I have also been told it won't necessrily prevent them, it will help them fade and not be so noticeable. You can buy Palmer's at any drug store.

i dont think anything prevents them. If your mom got them you might get them. I use Palmers Coca Butter b/c my belly and sides are always itching.

Re: Stretch Mark Prevention
It's all genetics. With my first pregnancy I didn't get them and all I used was Lubriderm because my skin was itchy. Now with my second child and at almost 22 weeks, I don't have any stretch marks either (knock on wood) and I've been using Aveeno or Lubriderm after I get out of the shower.

Re: Stretch Mark Prevention
Mustella lotion (babies r us) and Goya extra virgin olive oil...use both DAILY i swear i have not ONE STRETCH MARK on my stomach. i did the lotion in the morning after the shower and before i got dressed....and the oil at night before bed. I tucked my shirt under my bra and let the oil absorb into the skin. I hear stretch marks are heriditary...but i dont know how true that really is because i didnt get them. my advice...lube up the belly until you give birth! alot of my friends used the palmers cocoa butter as well...i hear thats great too!
