Growth sono question
This might be a really silly question, but did anyone's due date change after the growth sono? If the baby was measuring big or a few weeks ahead, did the Dr. change your due date or estimate if you would go early or late?
Im just not sure what to expect from the growth sono I have next week (esp. after my Dr. measured my belly last week and said it was measuring big).

Re: Growth sono question
They didn't do this for me....my babies are measuring small, but they are twins so it may be different.
The growth sono is really amazing. It takes a while and they look at EVERYTHING! They measure leg and arm bones, look at vital organs (kidneys, brain, heart, etc), look at blood flow to the heart, and do a bunch of other measurements.
I was really nervous about mine, but it was amazing...I even cried at one point because it makes it all feel so real.

Re: Growth sono question
My growth sono was really quick...she just measured the head, abdomen and femur to give an approximate weight. I have no idea how many weeks was measuring...she only gave me the weight, and my due date did not change.

Re: Growth sono question
My was measuring beyond big. At my 35 week appt he was weighing in at 9.15lbs. I also had too much fluid which is called Polyhydramnios so my doctor actually moved up my c/s date. She said that it was dangerous for me and the baby to carry him to term. I had him at 37 weeks and he weighed 10.1lbs. I had to have an amnio first to make sure his lungs were mature and they were.
He is perfectly healthy
I am the rare exception.
In my first pregnancy my was measuring big but they didn't move up my due date.
