I actually saw a gas station on Hempstead Turnpike today wanting $3.99 for 93 octane! 
I feel bad for you people in Long Island. Gas in Queens is not as expensive because there are more gas stations bunched together (keeping competition high).
Granted its still expensive here... but holy sh-- is LI gas out of control.

It was $3.12 at Mobil and right across the street at Gulf it was $3.49 so Mobil had lines out the wazzoo! But 1/2 hr later it was $3.29 at Mobil!
Anywhere in RH I went it was $3.39-3.59!

wierd. Mobil always seemed to be the most $$. Today, the mobil down the road from me seems the cheapest still- it was $3.11 (regular)

Yesterday (in queens) It cost me $45 to fill up my bug...it still had some left. I used the "Plus" gas wheras I usually use Premium.
Pus was $3.55, Premium was $3.65
