Guess who's reporting for jury duty on Monday....UPDATE!
ME!!!
I'll be approaching 35 weeks pregnant. Oh joy!!
**UPDATE**
You're never gonna believe this, but I was chosen to be in the jury for a case!! 
I guess it's more exciting than work but still...! It's only expected to go through Wednesday at the latest, and there's a possibility we could be done by tomorrow. So I guess it could be worse.

I did it back in February and they could have cared less that I was pregnant. I even got picked for a case. Hopefully, they will realize that it is not smart to pick you in case you go early. Why start a trial if you can go into labor at any time?

Definitely bring a book and hopefully they will release you by lunch!
It's so funny, I received a survey in the mail at my parents house a few weeks ago, addressed to my name but with my step-father's last name! I never took his last name or even registered for anything with his last name, just always had my maiden and my married. I think they just make people up, I had to send them my juror completion from last year so they would leave me alone.

I thought about rescheduling it cause it said I could put it off for up to 6 months from now, but then I figured I don't want to get called when I have my 6 month old child to care for. I'm hoping they show some mercy for me since I'm so far along. Ughh.

I only had the option of postponing it for 6 months. I'd rather get it over with now rather than when I have a 6 month old child to care for.

I went last month and when a group of us were called into a court room for voir dire, the woman asking questions asked if there was any reason a person may not be able to serve. I would tell them then, that was you did report to jury duty but they most likely won't pick you- especially because many cases don't start for a week or more later.

I had it a few weeks ago (at 29 or 30 weeks), and got called for questioning but they didn't even want me because the trial wasn't starting for a month. I think it's good to get it out of the way now.
Definitely bring lunch and a book--I was there until after the time they said we would be released.

I was picked to serve on a jury at 35 weeks. I think the only reason was the defense saw me as not being sympathetic toward the plaintiff since I worked in a law firm & voiced my opinion that I felt there were too many frivolous civil cases. The plaintiff thought I'd be more sympathetic because I was pregnant. Only way I got out of it was having the baby at 34 weeks.
Think of it as a day off & conveniently located near the outlets!

Are you kidding me? I would much rather have jury duty!!
How are they doing this while you're pregnant?? I was knocked out when I had mine extracted. (I was a severe case though)

ugh - i got called for that earlier and luckily didn't get chosen for a case. the judge actually stated in the beginning "if you have a condition that won't let you sit for 2 hours at a time, you can be excused" so maybe you can get off on that. i had class twice a week at that point so used that as my excuse. my judge seemed pretty easy going.

I had it in my third trimester. I kept having to pee while they were trying to describe the case, as they weeded out jurors. I wasn't sure if they understood so I finally asked if they could allow a break every 30 minutes for me to pee during the trial. The lawyers laughed and I was sent home.
