Gymnastic equipment question for those who have bought items for home use
I had decided to "home school" my DD as I am a former coach who taught m & m for many years. There were several factors that went into my decision, but until she's 18 months and can do a Saturday morning class, this is something I want to do, weekday mornings are not something we can do nor am I willing to pay what the gym wants for her age group. She goes to daycare so the social structure is being taught there, she's also starting m & m swim class next month.
Even if she were being schooled by a gym, I'd want some equipment at home. I am interested in a bar (training bar) and some wedge mats and maybe some other pieces to create an obstacle course. I have searched on line - including ebay and the bar is about $500 and the wedge mat (smallest one) is about $150... ebay was no bargain. The bar of course requires a crash mat underneath which is a few hundred as well. So it can get pricey.
Any ideas on where to find sturdy, safe items for a little lower price? DD's birthday is coming up and I was planning on buying this stuff. I was hoping a gym would close down and I could get the stuff cheap.
