Had a scare yesterday..

I put Megan up in her crib to nap. She usually watches a 20 minute dvd and then whines herself to sleep.

So I was downstairs cleaning up and all of a sudden she starts SCREAMING!! I knew something was wrong! I ran upstairs to find her on her stomach with her foot twisted and stuck in the small slat behind her!! Her entire leg was twisted at the knee and she was screaming and crying. I freaked out. Worst thing to do I know but I couldnt help it. I could not get her out.

My dh was home and came running up. He moved her foot a little one way while I tried to pick her up a bit to loosen it. I was screaming cut the crib..just get her out! I couldnt even think!

We finally got her out and thank god she was fine. But now I am PETRIFIED to put her back in the crib for a nap. I dont know how to make her not stick her feet in there but this is the ONLY way or place she will fall asleep for a nap at all. It was just really scary and I usually keep my cool in emergencies, but yesterday I was just useless..I felt so bad! Chat Icon

OMG, that's so scary!! I'm glad she's ok. Can you put the breathable bumpers in so her foot can't go through the opening?

I was going to suggest the same thing. The breathable bumpers are good for that!

How scary....I'm so glad she is okay. I would have freaked too. When it's our children, all bets are off. Chat Icon

Do you have the breathable bumpers?
