My coworker's DH had Covid-19 and she did not get it and neither did their two young children. She is also immunocompromised. Just because you are in close proximity to someone does not mean you will get it.

Very True!! My DH was exposed twice by two of his employees he was working with. He didn’t get sick, and neither did my son and I. I’m immunocompromised.

My cousins boss had it, he drives her to and from work. He didn’t get it and neither did his family, the kids are immunocompromised.

I highly doubt we are all A-symptomatic which is always the next thing out people’s mouths.

There’s a disclaimer after the result that states how it can be a false positive for COVID-19 due to previous exposure to another corona virus or similar virus anytime in someone’s life, and also that it could be a false negative because someone can be currently sick with covid or recently recovered but not long enough to have developed reportable antibodies.

But we need more testing to allow us to open up or get to phase 1. The irony!

What is the purpose of testing for antibodies? It seems like the tests aren't accurate so why even bother at this point and if they do work and people did have it they no longer have the antibodies so can't they just get it again?

And I am just watching the news that the WHO is now saying that just because you may have had it doesn't mean you are immune.

I just went because I was more curious than anything. Reading all these replies has made me realize even more that the whole thing is pointless.

I went to a ProHealth. Made an appointment online, came to the car to get me and I was in and out in 10 minutes.

Had my antibody test!

My husband has presumed covid in late March, they would not test him. About two weeks later, my teenage son got sick. He tested positive, so we know now my husband had it. Then my 20 yo daughter got sick and tested negative three times. All three I think were false negatives. I never showed any symptoms despite taking care of all of them, but tested POS for antibodies this week.
